For just over a week I've been back in my hometown, Shrewsbury, where I began the search for another talented photographer to help with my blog now that the lovely Mae and I will be in separate cities. Fortunately this search was not an arduous one, as after being introduced to Dan, I knew he'd do a great job. His experience lies predominately in wire wool photography, but he's in the process of expanding his portfolio to include portraiture, and has his own studio. So, with a rucksack packed full with photography equipment, and our glamorous assistant (also called Dan), we set off to RAF Tilstock, an abandoned World War Two airfield.
The day these photos were taken is a contender for my happiest day of the year. Just as I was about to leave for the photoshoot, I found that I'd been offered a trial day for an internship at a consumer PR agency in Manchester (of course, after a squeal of excitement, I immediately began planning a suitable work outfit). When I came back to reply to the email, I was absolutely delighted to discover that I'd won the Silver Tree Jewellery blog competition. I decided to share the prize money with my blog sister from another mister, Georgie, so we'll write about our upcoming Silver Tree shopping spree soon.
If there's any item of clothing that makes me feel like I should be casting spells, it's probably this flared, sheer sleeved top; I've paired it with a Victorian-esque choker and high waisted jeans. As black is always the new black, I tend to gravitate towards this colour quite often when putting together an outfit, but this time I've added some contrast with a gold sequined bag.
