Forty-eight hours, four thousand words and 640 mg of caffeine later, and I can finally write my first style post. Incidentally, the essay I have been slaving over was also on the topic of clothes, more specifically, the significance of clothes in Victorian Gothic literature. It's actually my tutor's area of expertise, so it remains to be seen whether or not I've horrifically mutilated her life's work.
The coat, I feel, will forever be one of my finest purchases. It adds a furry layer of 90s goodness to any outfit I pair it with, and its cost per wear is phenomenal because I've worn it like a billion squillion times.
I'd been looking for a 90s-style patterned long-sleeved top for a while, and this one, depicting a scene from New York's Time Square, filled with sky scrapers, flashing advertisements and yellow cabs, and subtly decorated with sequins, fits the bill nicely.
